Day 3,4,5,6 & 7!
Sorry to not updating, I've been away on a holiday to Sydney and to Newcastle to visit some friends and see my extended family, and iPhone wont let me update from there... never the less I had an incredible time and there was one this thing (I know its cheating) that stood out for me to be thankful for!
That was the spirit of GENEROSITY. As I mentioned before, I went up north back to my home town to have a break, and to learn some new things. I experienced, and witnessed something that I actually blew me away.
I stayed at my friends place with his family for a number of days, and there generosity to let me stay, give up there beds, provide food, all because they have a big spirit of generosity. BUT it got better!
I then took my friend up north to Newcastle, where my mums side of the family is from, and where I spent the first few years of my life. We stayed at my Nana's place after we got there, and she went and stayed somewhere else just so we could have a a holiday, and then to my surprise she offered her place up to my friend to "come up anytime, if you wanna study, or come up for a break, you can come up, have my place and enjoy the beach".
AND THEN, we went off to my pop's, and caught up with him, had lunch and he ALSO, offered his house to my friend if he needed anything...
The thing that got me most (yes there family and I understand where I get alot of who I am from) was that my friend was A COMPLETE STRANGER TO THEM, they'd never met him, never talked to him, yet were so willing to open there house, inconvenience there lives, just to be a help to someone else!
Humanity itself is obsessed with its own person. Everyone is doing there own thing, FOR THEM. I see the act of generosity a lot more in the older generations, they are more willing to share and are more willing to help someone else out, even if it puts them out.
So these past few days, I'm incredibly thankful for the generosity from people around me, and for the generosity that we as humanity, should tap into more.
J.
Let me know what you are thankful for?
